While going through some old family boxes I came across a few Civil War letter that came from one of my great-great Grandfathers.
Below is the opening to the letter.
Writing in the mid 1800s was certainly different than it is now. Will people look back 150 years from now and discover blogs? Writing will soon be a lost art.
Here is the first page of the letter in full. The letter itself is about 8 x 11 sheet of paper folded long ways with horizontal lines. The letter was written by Martin Lee on May 5, 1864.
