Hang On!

in Images, Photo Essay

I was in Ubon, Thailand searching for a Vietnam era refugee camp for Laotians. Many Laotians crossed the border during the war and ended up in these camps. A friend of mine I met during my work with Hurricane Katrina stayed in a camp in Ubon. The streets are crowded with street vendors and motorcycles. As we navigated our way through the streets I snapped this image as a motorcycle whizzed passed. At the time I really didn’t noticed the kid but once I reviewed the images the only thing that came to mind was, “Hang On”.

Hang on!
