After Hurricane Katrina I traveled to Mississippi many times on humanitarian relief and rebuilding trips. From Bayou La Batre to Pearlington, MS I hit every town along US Highway 90. Most people do not realize Pearlington was ground zero for Katrina. A twenty-five foot storm surge destroyed the entire town. The news however, would have you think New Orleans took the brunt of the storm.
During one of my Pearlington trips I decided to take a day and see how New Orleans was recovering from Hurricane Katrina. That’s where I came across this T-shirt.
