I was staying in New Jersey on December 31, 2008. My hotel had a decent view of the New York City skyline. That morning I woke up to what looked like red fire glowing behind the skyline. Of course it was just the sunrise. I grabbed my little, gulp, Canon A650 and started shooting. Actually it’s a nice little camera. Anyway here’s one of the shots of the last sunrise over New York City in 2008.

Beautiful picture, Earl. Jeffrey was here about 2 weeks ago, got to see some old friends. He left for Afghanistan last Sunday. Heard from him this week, everything going ok. Have a nice Thanksgiving, best wishes to you and family. D. Tuggle
