Obviously Haiti is a major topic in world news right now. Stories of tragedy and a few miracles are all over the news.
This is only going to get worse…much worse.
While news reports are ok, I encourage everyone to follow Sherry’s Journal for a first hand account from someone who’s been there for years. Sherry and her husband Bobby started the Christian Humanitarian Organization “Love A Child” in Haiti many years ago. Their program feeds over 5,000 people daily. She has been blogging daily about the ordeal they face on a daily basis.
Love A Child is currently in crisis mode. While their orphanage survived they are receiving and helping many people affected by the earthquake.
“We are distributing food to thousands who have been left homeless. We are also distributing food to missionary organizations that work here in Haiti and they are helping with the Disaster Relief to many orphanages. Food is a crisis here in Haiti at this time” Sherry’s Journal Jan 17, 2010
